LATEST WORK
My latest work is about capturing the physical presence of items that are being erased by the rise of digital media, before vanishing completely. In our era, we will witness the sunset of newspapers, coins, bank notes, photographic film and all the inherent beauty these things possess. I’m fascinated with cash specifically because it is a physical, tangible object that has collectively united humans for over 5,000 years. Each and every coin minted, every bill printed has a history behind it, connecting all the various hands that have passed it along over time.
NOTAPHILY: The study and collection of paper currency, bills, and banknotes.
FILM: A record of light on a flexible strip of plastic coated with light-sensitive chemicals.
